Control Voltage is a specialized music instrument shop focused on electronic instruments. Our main thing is new modular, analog and digital synthesizers but we also sell vintage and used gear to Portland, Oregon's community of electronic musicians. We stock a bunch of MIDI controllers, drum machines, accessories, cables, DIY components and kits for those who want to build their own stuff, music, media, accessories like cable adapters, guitar strings, drum sticks as well as a carefully curated selection of handmade oddities. It's not just about sales though. Don’t get us wrong, you can definitely buy, sell and trade, but we’ll also regularly hold free workshops on new gear, paid curriculum-based classes for computer music production and group sessions for DIY electronics. We’re open extended hours, get new gear in continuously, offer analog synthesizer service and maintenance, facilitate warranty repairs and always support products after purchase. Control Voltage is all about providing a meeting place for people who are into all different kinds of music to get together, learn, make new friends and grow as musicians and noisemakers.
