Our Surgery has been providing the highest standard of healthcare for the community in and around Canterbury since 1969. It is as committed as ever to all its patients and the continuation of a strong NHS. We currently have five GPs, a Registrar and three nurses, all with specialist medical interests in addition to their normal roles. Amongst others they include diabetes, dermatology, psychology, sexual health, minor surgery and sports medicine. Our practice is also proud of its reputation an an exceptional Training Practice for Registrars training to become GPs. Lots in the news at the moment about elderly patients having a named GP but ALL of our patients have a named GP and can book in advance to see them, by phone, online or via the free Patient Access app. All new patients welcome!
We are sorry to announce that Dr Fegent will be retiring on 14 Jan 2014. We will all miss her but wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement! Please don't worry, all of her patients will continue to have a named GP and receive the same high standard of personalised care.
Don't forget - you can now book routine GP appointments online in advance! Register at reception for our Patient Access service - just bring some photo ID and we will give you your registration info. You can always book in advance to see a GP or a nurse so please don't leave it until it's an emergency!
We've added extra flu clinics in November for anyone who couldn't make the October clinics. Ring now to book your appointment - clinics are lunchtime sessions on 12th, 14th, 18th, 21st and 22nd Nov.

Looking for a new Practice Nurse! If you are a qualified nurse or know someone who is - we need you. We are currently recruiting for a part-time Practice Nurse to work 24 hours a week (Mon/Wed/Fri). Ideally we would like someone with experience in diabetes, asthma or COPD but enthusiastic candidates who are willing to work towards diplomas will also be considered. You will also need to be confident working independently to support patient self-management and be flexible to provide cover for holidays and sickness. If you need to see a doctor urgently we have appointments available for booking from 8am each day. When surgeries are full a telephone triage call will be offered and if the doctor feels you do need to be seen, an emergency appointment will booked

Dr Crook - clinic update From July Dr Crook will be reducing her sessional commitment in general practice. In the main she will only be avaliable to see patients on a Tuesday morning. However, as from the beginning of August we are very pleased to welcome Dr Salam Jabur who will be working for the surgery on Wednesdays.
Prescription requests received after 11.30am will now be processed the following day. If you have an urgent prescription please hand to reception and make them aware.
