iTS GREAT TO HEAR GREAT THINGS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS I spent a while digging around on Google Maps for Auto Mechanics that had a decent quantity of reviews, and a great average rating to match (as I'm sure you are doing too, dear reader). Before I continue: I have been given no discount on incentive to write this review. Post car repair they have sent me a survey to critique my experience to my email that is returned to them directly - filling out a google review is at my choice as a first-time customer. I was seeking a new mechanic as my current mechanic was retiring from his profession, so I was in need of someone who wouldn't rip me off while trying to get my car serviced. I don't live near South Melbourne, and drove in early-morning to drop off my car. I let them perform a major service. Each item they were repairing was communicated to me and sought approval before commencement, informing me of price and reasons as to why I'd need to worked on. I worked with the staff to understand the priority of items so that we addressed key items in this initial visit, and the nice-to-have items were to be addressed in hypothetical subsequent visits that I hadn't committed to. There was no issue with this and the deferral of non-critical items was welcomed without protest. I don't feel this business is focused on fleecing their customers. I think their focus from my experience is on giving great service and making sure the car works - they probably have a philosophy of most good business' where happy customers return on their own. If you're seeking a new Mechanic I would recommend you check these guys out. • • •
