Recent Holes In One Since my last report of Holes In One on the 2nd Nov 2015, there has been another 3. Congratulations and well done to:- Dennis Bauchope - Playing with Jock Buchan, holed out in one at the 8th hole with his pitching wedge. Dave McFarlane - Playing with Alan Fraser, Mark McDowell and Ronnie Calderwood, using a sand wedge, also holed out at the 8th. Donald McLeod - Playing with Martin Nicol, Allan Robertson and Jim Muir hit his hole in one at the 17th. I'm told it was his first hole in one since 2000 and it was a "wee cutty 5 iron" that was perfectly struck! Looking back through the our Notable Gofling Events register (which commenced in 1924 and is kept behind the bar), there has now been a total of 12 holes in one this year - comparing similarly with 11 in 2014, 13 in 2013 and 14 in 2012. Please keep the register up to date. regards Kenny MacKinnon

Malcolm back to 2 up after 8.
Great birdie from Johnny on 6. Back to 1 up to Malcolm. Fantastic final.
That was to get it back to 1. Unlucky Johnny.
As a result of the early conclusion of the handicap. The men's scratch round 2 has been brought forward to 1pm. Malcolm currently 2 up. Let's support the guys.
Using the power of Facebook can I see a show of hands and ask who is coming up to watch the final as there is an opportunity to move it forward by a couple of hours.
Great up and down from Johnny to keep it at 2 down.
Putt to go 2 up.
All square after 11. Men from the boys time.
Tight game. All square at the turn
For those that can't see past the fat folk. 2 on the green.
The twins refereeing. Chaos ensues
Robbed. But good enough for a half. Malcolm 1 up after 6
Well. Our first congratulations need to go out to Michael Irons who has won the stroke play championship. I do not want to take anything away from Michael as this is a great achievement and the people that he beat on the way to this final are impressive. Ronnie Smith. 2 up after being 4 down to name but one. However whilst the anger still boils and this is purely the opinion of the Captain and not representative of the views of the club. I am massively disappointed in the selfish thoughts of his competitor who withdrew. He has not for a second considered the feelings of his competitor. Having won the competition before he has not value in it but for Michael it was a chance of a lifetime. To say you are tired and withdrawing is unacceptable in my eyes as all qualifiers were played after work. I am disappointed no angered to say the least. Well done Michael. A worthy champion.
Nearly but good enough for the win. I up Malcolm.
All square after 3 thanks to a great chip from Malcolm. Johnny applying the pressure on the first 3 though
Back at ya
And this is why they are in the final and not me
Club Championship under way. Scratch final Malcolm v Johnny. All square after 1. Halved with 4
