CRE Finance Council (CREFC) is a trade association dedicated to promoting the strength and liquidity of commercial real estate finance worldwide. CREFC acts as a legislative and regulatory advocate, plays a vital role in setting market standards and provides education for market participants in this key sector of the global economy. Members of CRE Finance Council are active participants in the process to effect change within the commercial real estate finance industry. Our Members participate in industry initiatives, take part in Committee-level processes, debate the issues, and influence the global debate within commercial real estate finance. CREFC regularly advocates on behalf of our Members with lawmakers and regulators and counsels these policymakers on the issues impacting our industry. With this background, policymakers are in turn able to make decisions ensuring the broader success of the commercial real estate finance market. CRE Finance Council also hosts globally-recognized events that bring together market leaders and organizations that drive the industry. Complementing these major conferences are regular After-Work Seminars and Mini-Conferences held throughout the calendar year, each of which is tailored to fit the constituencies served by CREFC. CRE Finance Council is also composed of five market ‘Forums’ for constituencies that drive the commercial mortgage industry: Portfolio Lenders; Issuers; Investors; High Yield Debt and Investment; and Servicers. Combined with CREFC's Task Forces, these Forums raise and develop solutions and set market standards for the commercial real estate industry. Maintaining its long-standing view toward the importance of market transparency, CRE Finance Council maintains its Investor Reporting Package®, a transparent and standardized compilation of bond, loan and property-level information for CMBS reporting. The CREFC IRP® creates a multi-dimensional and agreeable investing environment that is known around the globe. With hundreds of member companies and a presence in North America, Europe and Japan, CRE Finance Council is committed to being responsive to our members with a culture of collaboration, collegiality, open and inclusive dialogue, consensus building and respect for diverse views.
