Bizanteen Bikes is a non profit refurbished bike shop working as a sector of Tucson's non profit organization Pima Prevention Partnership.

Description

Pima Prevention Partnership's mission is to build partnerships with young people, families, and communities to improve the quality of life. PPP has several programs each uniquely designed to assist different needs for Tucson's youth. Bizanteen Bikes is an AmeriCorps Project that is funded by the Arizona Governor’s Commission for Service and Volunteerism. Bizanteen Bikes gives youth a chance to learn new skills as they are taught by AmeriCorps volunteers how to refurbish bicycles. The program's focus is to educate youth in bike maintenance as well as offer a low-cost alternative of transportation to the community of Tucson.
