Brain cancer kills more children than any other disease in Australia and more people under 40 than any other cancer. Only 20% of people diagnosed with brain cancer will survive for five years. Our mission is to increase five-year survival to 50% by 2023. Partnering with the research community, we are steering the national agenda for brain cancer research. Bowel Cancer Australia's vision is to have an everlasting impact where no one dies from bowel cancer and all those diagnosed receive the support they need. Charity initiatives such as Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, BowelScreen Australia and the Rear in Gear Program we raise awareness among health professionals and the community about the importance of early detection and intervention in the successful treatment of bowel cancer. Through our Peer-to-Peer Support Network, we provide support, resources and advocacy for bowel cancer patients, their carers, close relatives and friends. To do all this, we rely on public support.
