Evening all, and it really does feel like Winter... but! Here is our delicious Christmas menu at last. We will be serving this festive feast at The Alexandra Arms (Gwydir St) on both Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th December. Filo christmas crackers - filled with roast seasonal squash, red onion, roast garlic & thyme cream, hazelnuts and a pomegranate molasses dressing Middles Chestnut mushroom & almond wellington served with all the trimmings... ...Classic roast potatoes, maple and thyme roasted roots, seasonal greens with shallots and fennel seeds, homemade cranberry sauce & mulled spice red wine gravy Tamari & apple smoked tofu steaks served on warm puy lentils with pearl barley, roast beetroot and carrot, with winter leaf salad and a preserved lemon dressing. Evening folks! It's great to be back in The Alexandra Arms kitchen again...what joy. Tempura is back on the menu.Briiliant fryers producing crisp,clean deep fried delights...some of the best chips in town. Thanks to those people who ventured out on a Monday night to keep us busy. Don't forget we are there for lunch and dinner tomorrow...so drop by for a lush snack or two. Sam's home made falafal really are fabulous. Well worth the trip and OMG Jennie has given us some top desserts this week. Best I've tasted from her, thank you! We are also getting geared up for Xmas, we will be hosting our own Xmas Dinner and Dance, watch this space for more info. We will also very shortly launch our vegan Christmas products range made to order for the Christmas season. It will include, our fabulous Mushroom wellington, Cashew nut roast, Hot water crust cranberry and chestnut pie, Mince pies and Mince Pie cheesecake.

Hello everyone! I hope you've all recovered from the spooky weekend :) IMPORTANT CURLY KALE UPDATE - NO CURLY KALE POP UP AT THE FREE PRESS THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK (4TH & 11TH) The Curly Kale team will not be at the Free Press pub tomorrow night sadly due to taking a well earned break from the weekends hard work. We want to give you all our best so we will be recharging and refocussing for our next pop up...so... CURLY KALE CAFE RETURNS TO THE ALEXANDRA ARMS, GWYDIR ST ON MONDAY 10TH & TUESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER - Both lunch and dinner service on both days! We are excited to be back at The Alexandra Arms after their recent renovation and lovely kitchen to work from, so do come join us. We will fo course be using the best organic produce we can find as standard and service times along with our brand new Autumn menu details will come soon, so watch this space!

Well folks the rapidly growing Curly Kale family and response to our new pop up nights has taken us all by suprise, but we are so happy. Evening all! Just a couple of updates for you... Firstly, the menu for our next pop up at The Alex (Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd March) is almost ready to publish but we can say that it will be all about the Curly Kale favourites! Dishes that have proved popular over the last few months will make a welcome (and for some an overdue) return to the menu to tickle those tastebuds :) As usual we will be using seasonal organic produce from as close as possible...but! We are almost in that time of year which in the growing circles is known as the 'hungry gap'. Lots of Winter produce has finished and the new Spring produce hasn't grown yet. We are having to think hard, but no doubt we can bring out the best of what we have available...after all seasonal veg means higher nutrition and of course more taste! Secondly...drum roll...... March will see the launch of our second monthly pop up! Ed the owner of The Alex & now The Architect on Castle Hill, Cambridge has kindly invited us to grow the Curly Kale family in North Cambridge. We will start our new event there on Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th March. Watch this space for details but we have grand ideas to 're-invent' the veggie burger...and boy that needs some new inspiration! Happy Sundays :) Curly Kale team
