Sitting in Adelaide waiting for a flight to Perth, time to reflect on a massive learning curve that was Adelaide. Extremely fortunate to have spent the week in Adelaide with the cream on Australian High Performance Cycling, time spent with Gary Sutton, Gary West, Tim Decker, Matt Gilmore and Donna Rae Szalinski are all amazing coaches that are keen to share their vast knowledge and life experiences in our wonderful sport Add this to the the scientific genius of Nick Flyger, Eric Haakonssen who deliver amazing information related to our national teams, these guys handle all the physiological and data related technology that drives one of the best programs in the world Thanks to Brendan Moriarty, Josh Sear from Cycling Australia High Performance and Max Stevens from CA Special Projects for assembling these fantastic people to show our group the way, this only drives me stronger to achieve It was humbling to complete the course with some past Australian, Commonwealth, World and Olympic Champions that have chosen to "put back into our sport" Brett Aitken OA and Olympic Champion, Ben Kersten, Jason Niblett, Alex Bird, Belinda Goss, Natalie Bates, Vicky Whitelaw along with the madman Nathan Rennie a World Cup winning MTB downhiller (you tube his name with red bull record jump and his feats will amaze you) I'm very keen to return and deliver in my own way some if the messages learnt, in short watch out cycleEDGE Coaching athletes, the aim is to make you all bigger, stronger and faster, without compromise See you all soon

It's been a great week for Australian Junior cycling at the Junior worlds, many medals and some personal bests in there also With every successful athlete at these events there is a huge support network behind them, yes they do the business on the track and get the adulation of the fans, and deservingly so Sit back for a moment and think about those Coaches (and parents, siblings, broader family and those who offer sponsorship) who put countless hours of support and expertise into helping achieve that success Our National u19 group have performed well but nothing happens well without solid leadership, well done to Coaches, Matt Gilmore, Gene Bates, Clay Worthington and Manager Rik Fulcher ( also mechanics and support stafff, who I don't know the names of) your attention to detail and preparation of the team is clearly evident Well done to all :) .
