Dallas Services offers four important programs to the Dallas community: Dallas Day School Low Vision Clinic Mesquite Day School Dallas Services Inclusion/ S.N.A.A.P. Program. Dallas Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was founded in 1949.

General Info

DALLAS DAY SCHOOL Dallas Day School has grown into an inclusive early education program that provides an opportunity for children with and without special needs to develop, learn and grow together. DDS provides all children with the opportunities to achieve their potential; socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. DDS is a year-round program that utilizes child-focused instructional strategies based upon developmental milestones and individual goals/objectives. The ultimate goal of the program is to help parents and families create a solid foundation for future learning. THE LOW VISION CLINIC The Low Vision Clinic was established to provide assistance to all individuals experiencing vision problems which could not be corrected with glasses or surgery. At the request of community members and agencies, the Low Vision Clinic began providing low-cost vision examinations and glasses. Today, the Low Vision Clinic provides vision and low vision services to all individuals regardless of age, disability, gender, etc. MESQUITE DAY SCHOOL Mesquite Day School is a comprehensive program that encompasses both an Early Head Start and a preschool for children, with and without special needs, from low-income families. Early Head Start offers an intensive set of core services to children from birth to three years of age who must meet certain income requirements or be a foster child or homeless. The preschool aspect of Mesquite Day School provides a quality inclusive early education to children from low-income families. INCLUSION/SPECIAL NEEDS AWARENESS & ADVOCACY PROGRAM (S.N.A.A.P.) Dallas Services endeavors to educate and train families of children with special needs in how to advocate for their child in the school system and the community. Dallas Services has a dedicated Inclusion Specialist who works with Dallas Day School and Mesquite Day School to ensure our children with special needs are receiving the best early education possible. The Inclusion Specialist also connects families with community resources and continues assisting the families after they have graduated from our programs.
