Hello my Facebook friends, How are you all? Currently in Spain exploring the East coast between Valencia and Alicante and having a fantastic time. The food the sights and the people are simply marvellous and I'm really enjoying using my Spanish again after many years. I'll soon be leaving this country after 10 unforgettable days and back to France for another couple of weeks before returning to Nice. I will then send you some images of my trip. Until then, take good care and I'll talk to you soon. Tours in Travel, Daniel
Hello my Facebook friends, After a long silence, I find the time to find a connection and say hello. I have now been in Algeria for almost a week and having a great time. The weather has not been the best - raining today but the welcome has been just as warm and friendly as ever. This is the 5th visit to the country in 5 years and I really feel part of the local scene by now - catching up with old friends and making new ones. I leave Algeria on 10 October to return to France for two weeks before my next leg of the travel which will take me to Spain and some parts of France. I will post some images of Algeria once I return to France. Until then, take good care. Yours in Travel, Daniel.
Hello my Facebook friends, Today is the final day of the Tour when we say goodbye to each other and go our separate ways. The tour lasted 8 short days but during that time some friendships developed with lots of great moments spent together having a wonderful and relaxing time. I can't wait for next year's tour which will offer a new itinerary. This time, we are looking at a different circuit which will include places such as Orange, Arles, Nimes and Uzes with all the roman Empire vestiges and the Chateauneuf du Pape vineyards; an exciting program ahead. I am currently researching the area and putting together a circuit which I will share with you as soon as it is finalised. In the meantime, I am about to leave France to go to North Africa (Algeria) for 2 weeks to visit more of that country. I will contact you again as soon as I have a few images and some news to share with you. Until then, take good care. Yours in Travel, Daniel.
Hello my Facebook friends, Day 7; our last full day of the Tour which is going far too quickly for the group. Another exciting day nevertheless with a drive to St Remy de Provence to see its famous market and buy food for a picnic at the Domaine des Clos. In the afternoon, after a delicious picnic lunch, some of the guests went to the kitchen for a Cooking Class with Cecile; our Foie Gras lady while the rest of the group played Petanque; a game played with steel balls. In the evening, we were treated to the meal that the cooking class had prepared and finished off the evening in the courtyard reminiscing on what a wonderful week we had just had. Tomorrow, the Tour ends and we all go on to our next adventure. Until then, Yours in Travel. Daniel.
Hello everyone, Made it to Nice OK. Long flight as ususal but quite comfortable especially the 15-hour Brisbane - Dubai leg on the A 380; that is some plane I tell you. Quite warm over here after the cool weather from Toowoomba but still quite bearable. Lots to do before the Tour begins on Thursday so I will keep you posted in a short while.

Hello my Facebook friends, In collaboration with Craig Mathieson and his team at “Experience Travel and Cruise” I am launching today my brand-new Travel Blog called “Daniel’s European Food, Wine & History Tours”. As the name suggests, this blog will tell you all about my travels, the places I will visit, the historical significance of these locations and of course the culinary delights of each of the location that I will make you discover. You will share with me the special moments, the wonderful restaurants, the visits to the many wineries, and places of interest such as perfumeries, a cheese-making farm, local markets etc… My current travels will initially take me around the French Riviera and Provence where most of my family lives. We will visit cities such as Nice, the jewel of the French Riviera; Grasse, the perfume capital of the world; Aix en Provence, a place famous for its Art and Cultural events but also smaller towns like Moustiers Sainte Marie, Barjols, Gordes, Ménerbes, and Beaucaire. You will enjoy cheese degustations at a goat’s cheese farm and learn all about its traditional cheese-making techniques that will take you right back to an era that is almost forgotten today. You will visit a number of wineries in the Bandol, Cassis, Aix en Provence and Côtes du Rhone regions and discover the wineries’ ethos and philosophy with the wine-makers themselves. There will also be a whole range of exciting activities such as Market days at Barjols and St Remy de Provence. A visit to an olive oil mill; a Foie Gras degustation and a cooking class will also feature in the blog. Later on, I will expand my travels to other regions of France and down the track Spain and Italy with the same focus on Food, Wine and History so don’t forget to visit my blog and share with me a very exciting adventure. I also would love to hear from you and find out if you would like to take on such a journey with me. I am available and would love to take you along on one of my travels and share with you what will definitely be an unforgettable experience. You will find my blog at: https://danielfoodtours.blogspot.com.au/ I can also be contacted at: firstname.lastname@example.org and on 0407 197 574 from Australia or 00 +61 407 197 574 from Overseas I really look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
