Recently Ive had people reaching out to me about their personal physical fitness issues and goals. Some were concerned about getting started because they're so "out of shape" and not even knowing where to start in a gym. All the machines can be overwhelming. Others reached out with lgbt concerns of locker room issues and such. As a trans-man myself I understand the uncomfortable situations a typical gym locker room can put our lgbt community in and all we want is a good workout. Well here it is! Everyone is welcomed (beginners, athletes, gay, straight, trans, gender neutral, black, white, hispanic, purple, green, gold!). Beginners will be encouraged, gain knowledge, confidence, friends and a sense of belonging! Come better yourself and in turn help build a stronger happier community. MY FITNESS JOURNEY. In elementary school I stood 4'3 and weighed 158lbs. Thats what I weigh now! Ive always been the underdog and genetics never seemed to be on my side of this journey. In 2010 I starting training for my first half marathon and on my first run.. I puked before I even ran a full mile! Now Ive completed 2 half marathons (13.1 miles) Ive trained with body builders and now I'm a Crossfit-Level 1 Trainer. With physical fitness comes confidence and mental clarity! You owe it to be GOOD TO YOURSELF. My point is we all start somewhere and you deserve to give yourself a fighting chance at a happier healthier life.
