Today is Transgender Day of Rememberance, Please take these 24 hours (and hopefully quite more) thinking about and recognizing the multitude of intersectionalities that affect trans* people face on a daily basis. Furthermore, empathize with the grief for the victims of violence against Trans people. Open dialogue with respect and be aware of your words. Adapted from a friend's post. - K

PRIDE ROOM UPDATE: The NW Pride Center is having a drywall installed TOMORROW to divide the space in half. There is a group of us organizing the resistance, including an advocacy march in the pride parade this weekend. If you can help us out, make posters, march, sign a petition, whatever- the entire LGBTQ population would be grateful. Please PM Katie Koening for the details! WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Hello everyone! If you've stopped by our sibling page for the DSU Pride Centre, you may have noticed a rather upsetting post. Apparently there's been a motion passed by the current sitting DSU to co-opt the space, take half of it away from it's current use and put it to use for other things (not pride related). If you're not okay with this, let your opinions be heard (but try to keep it pg). PM this page for more info/if you'd like to help. We will stop this. We will fix this.
Vancouver Pride is coming up! Message us if you want to take part in the parade, we march with our student union CFCS every year :) Seeing the parade from the inside is a MUST-DO at least once in your time!!
