About Me Hello, my name is Karen and i am a fully licensed and insured semi permanent make up technician based in Birmingham giving a highly professional, but friendly service with that personal touch. I originally trained at Finishing Touches in Hove, East Sussex. Finishing Touches are the market leaders in micropigmentation and have numerous clinics around the Uk including Londons famous Harley Street. I have been practicing semi permanent make up for 10 years and i am constantly gaining the knowledge and experience that an ordinary beauty therapist, who only does semi permanent make up occasionally, cannot gain. I have performed thousands of treatments and have an extensive portfolio for you to look through during your consultation. My Philosophy and my Clients My work ethics and attitude towards my clients and my profession, all stem from 12 years ago, when I was a client wanting to have a semi-permanent make up treatment myself. Back then, permanent cosmetics were practically unheard of and when I finally decided to have a treatment, I was very apprehensive and concerned about the technicians ability to give me exactly what I wanted. Having a tattoo on a part of your body that you cannot hide, leaves no room for mistakes. I understand the concerns of my clients and their need to feel satisfied that they have chosen the right technician. I want my clients to feel confident and relaxed. For this reason, a consultation is important for both the client and myself. Understanding and awareness of my clients needs and expectations are important for me to be able to give the client exactly what they want and for them to be happy and satisfied with the result. All of these factors combined with the excellence of my skills are enough that I have gained a first class reputation in my field of work and most of my new clients come from referrals or word of mouth. I have an extensive network of clients in and around the midlands, ranging from aged 18 to 80 years old, all of whom have different reasons for wanting or needing semi-permanent make up. For some, semi-permanent make up is purely cosmetic and is just about wanting to enhance what they already have. For others, it is life changing. For instance those who suffer from Alopecia and have no eyebrows or lashes, and others who simply cannot apply make up due to disability or poor eyesight. I take pride in knowing that I have given my clients more confidence in their appearance and less time in front of the mirror applying their every day make up.
