Description

A historic bungalow built by Morris and Pearl Schollenberger. He was president of the first gasoline automobile dealership in Wichita, Kansas, started in 1900. The house has many wonderful features such as tall ceilings, oak floors, crown molding and pocket doors. The second owner was Dr. Fredolin Good who raised 7 children in the home and saw his patients out of the house. Brent and Becky Miller purchased the home in 2006 from the Good family. It now is a bed and breakfast offering two rooms.

$89-$105 Double Occupancy. Reservations are required. Minimum of one night stay. Discounts are offered for multiple nights. There are two bedrooms, each hosting a private bath. The sitting room has a television and internet. It is also a showroom for Becky's Jewelry Botanica, hand-sculpted jewelry. Delano Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located by several local universities, local government, the new Intrust Arena, library and many local museums including Exploration Place, Wichita Art Museum, Cowtown and Mid-America All Indian Cente,r and public annd private golf courses. We can help you find local restaurants and entertainment districts such as Delano and Old Town. Guests have access to the living room which features a handcrafted Prairie Settle and mission furniture in the Stickley style. There is a formal dining room where we serve a hearty breakfast in the European style. Outside there are several areas for guests to sit back and relax. Bird watching can be enjoyed from the front porch in the vintage wicker furniture or in other areas of the gardens. The biergarten (beer garden) hosts a fire pit. And then there is the greenhouse where guests are always welcome. We look forward to your visit.
