Hello! I'm Denise. I'm 30 years old, married with no kids. I work a full time job and 2 part time jobs. MY STORY My health issues began back in 2009 when I was diagnosed with endometriosis and after having 2 surgeries, causing me to have a "c section like" incision I found it hard to "get back in shape". In 2010 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, which also made it a little harder to lose weight. In 2010, I was at my heaviest at 155 pounds and I stayed at that weight for about 2 years! I know for some people that doesn't seem like a bad weight, but with me barely pushing 5'2" all of my excess weight goes straight to my stomach. It wasn't until a past co-worker and friend invited me to take part in a beachbody challenge that I decided to get my "health" back in order. In April of 2013 I started doing P90X and cleaning up my diet, I lost 6 pounds and a total of 4.5 inches off my body. I was doing so well with my new found love of health and fitness then July happened... I woke up one morning in SEVERE PAIN in the left side of my back, I immediately thought I was having a kidney stone; turned out my kidney had an "obstruction" in the ureter causing my kidney to only function at 10%. Needless to say I was unable to work out for almost a month! ( but still had my daily dose of Shakeology!) I started T25 in August and I lost about 5 pounds. In October I had surgery to have my left kidney removed. During surgery my "obstruction" was revealed to be endometriosis; it grew up and around my ureter and constricted it, causing my kidney to fail. Although I recovered my surgery fairly quick ( I was in the hospital 1.5 days and released to work in 2 weeks) I knew my body wasn't fully healed to get back to my work out regimen. So I started little by little and worked my way back up to where I was before surgery and I'm happy to say that I finally finished Shaun T's T25! While doing Focus T25 I lost 9 pounds and a total of 10 inches off my body!!! and because I love it so much I've started another round!
