DDGCRTC: Warfighters Training & Equipping Warfighters The RTC, located at Fort Bliss, Texas, is a Total Force-operated premier USAF pre-deployment readiness training center and centralized Unit Type Code (UTC) Logistic Detail (LOGDET) deployment hub. Its mission is two-fold as it trains and equips Defenders to meet Combatant Commander requirements: Train – Provide pre-deployment readiness training, Expeditionary Combat Certification Readiness Training, and advanced Ground Combat Skills training Equip – Deploy scalable capability-based equipment packages that are light, lean, lethal and mobile for Security Forces warfighters to conduct the full range of expeditionary missions

Desert Defender Ground Combat Readiness Training Center (RTC) was established in 2007 as an Air National Guard owned and operated RTC providing Security Forces pre-deployment and specialized course training. In 2014, with the consolidation of Security Forces RTCs, Desert Defender significantly expanded its mission and assigned personnel. The RTC, located at Fort Bliss, Texas, is a Total Force-operated premier USAF pre-deployment readiness training center and centralized Unit Type Code (UTC) Logistic Detail (LOGDET) deployment hub.
