One of our dearest friends and loyal Destiny Aberdeen members, Betty Thompson passed away on Tuesday 17th. We are sad that she is gone from us but joyful that she is now with the saviour she loved so dearly. Earth's loss is heavens gain! We salute this wonderful saint of God and thank the Lord for her life. Betty's life was characterised by a deep love for Jesus her Lord and a strong burden for intercessory prayer. She believed in the simplicity and effectiveness of prayer and saw God move miraculously through the years. Our thoughts and prayer are with the family at this time and we pray that they all know the comforting arms of God upholding them at this time. Betty's funeral will be held at the crematorium at Hazelhead on Wednesday 25th November at 10:10am.

Tonight we hosted 'Sound of Wales' at the Station Hotel in Aberdeen. They were absolutely awesome! Words fail to describe the awesome presence of the Lord in our midst as the team from South Wales ministered in song as the Holy Spirit led. Sound of Wales are humble, Christ-exalting, encouraging and uplifting. They are a great tool to equip and inspire the body of Christ to believe God for great things! We had representatives from many churches across the city and Aberdeenshire which was great. Unity creates an atmosphere for revival. Let's believe God to do great things in the days ahead. We thank God for the ministry of 'Sound of Wales'and pray God's favour and blessing upon them. We highly recommend you get them in your church! You are guaranteed to be blessed!

Join the Recovery Church team tonight at 6:30pm as they continue to reach out with God's message of hope and transformation. There will be a powerful, real life story followed by an inspirational word. Why not bring someone along who needs encouraging. It's a great opportunity to bring people who wouldn't normally attend church. God's radical love and grace is able to change and transform those who deem themselves beyond redemption. Happy Christmas to you all from everyone at Destiny Aberdeen. We pray that today will be filled with joy, gladness and hope as we celebrate the birth of Jesus our saviour! It's because of him coming into this world those many years ago that we have hope, purpose and a reason for living. Thank you Jesus for coming into this world to rescue us! The one who sits above the circle of the earth became confined to the circle of his mother's womb! How awesome is that! Let's celebrate his birth today with grateful thankful hearts.
