Description

My name is Diane Copeland; I am a fully qualified and Ofsted approved childminder operating in Silverdale, Newcastle –under - Lyme. I am qualified to BA Honours Degree in Early Years studies, hold a paediatric first aid certificate, Safeguarding level 1 & 2 and am hoping to undertake Makaton training in the near future. I have a passion for children and encouraging their development as they grow. I have worked with children for 20 years, at a local primary school, 8 years of them as Nursery Manager. I live with my husband Gary who I have been married to for 26 years. I have 4 grown up children. My daughter Jessica and son Bradley live at home although Bradley is away at University for most of the year. I also have 3 young Grandsons who I love to spend time with. After juggling child care and full time work myself, I know how important it is to find superb quality child care for your children. I aim to provide a setting that both children and parents will love and enjoy. About the setting Diane Copeland Childminding offers a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating home from home environment, whilst following the curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our home is a 3 bedroom, 2 storey house. The children are free to play in the downstairs room and if they need a nap will be able to sleep upstairs, baby monitors are used when a child is asleep. Child led and free play is encouraged, we will have themes and activities throughout the year which the children will be encouraged to participate in but it is not essential. Use of the great outdoors is encouraged and I aim to get out and about daily and in all weathers. Opening Hours I offer flexible opening hours but primarily my setting is open between 7:30am & 6:00pm, if you require care outside of these hours please discuss it with me as I will try my best to accommodate shift workers. I am registered to provide overnight care for 2 children. Ad-hoc care is offered subject to availability. Meals Breakfast is provided for children who arrive before 8.30am. Lunch and dinner can be provided at an additional cost. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Fees Hourly rate of £4.00 for hours between 7.30am – 6.00pm, prices out of these hours to be arranged. Fees are paid in advance and payment is due on the 1st of each month. Invoices for contracted hours will be issued on or after the 15th day of the month prior to payment being due. If you would like to hold a space open for your child a retainer fee of 50% will be charged. For more information please refer to my Fees policy, available on request
