Just in the process of negotiating some gorgeous organic skincare for The Natural Product Store 😊
I've got very limited kitchen facilities at the moment so making healthy dinners is a bit tricky. M&S microwave vegetables, ready to cook meals (not ready meals) and my slow cooker is getting me through at the moment! I hadn't realised until now, how long I spend cooking from scratch - quite enjoying the temporary reprieve just quietly!
Exciting times ahead at Donna Gray Nutrition! Watch this space.........
Leftover bolognaise in lettuce wraps today - always so tasty and such an easy lunch! I ate them before I could take a picture 😕

It's Freefrom week on Bake Off tonight. Think they're doing a sugar free cake, will be interesting to see what they use to sweeten them......
Hope everyone is still going well with No Sugar September. For those of you who may be getting sweet cravings, I'll post a sweet treat recipe tomorrow. Keep going guys..... 👍👍
I hope yesterday went well for everyone for the first day if #nosugarseptember, it was fine for me actually but I'm under no illusions that other days will be harder. I had granola with a small amount of raspberries with almond milk that kept me going till lunch then a rather large, leftover portion of homemade Thai curry with a small amount of basmati rice - whilst basmati rice is white, it is actually relatively low GI and doesn't spike your blood sugar as much as other refined carbs, if you're going to eat it then a handful is enough. Then, I had a small ish portion of lasagne and salad for dinner. Now, I did have a homemade muffin for dessert, they have no sugar but are sweetened with ripe bananas and a small amount of maple syrup, they were supposed to have choc chips in but I left those out. Did any of you bake anything without sugar or did you get through the day without? Bring on day 2!!!
And we're OFF...... No Sugar September starts now! 👎🍫🍪🍰🎂🍧🍨🍦🍩🍞🍚🍕🍟🍔🍹👎 😇😇😇
Good morning - just a few reminders and pointers for those doing No Sugar September with me. I will be away tomorrow until the middle of next week then the following week we start. BE PREPARED, make sure you have an idea of what you can eat ie - Dizzy Bee Granola for breakfast - no refined sugar Or a nutribullet smoothie - with cashews or nut butters Or porridge with berries and nuts Lunches, salads, leftovers, soups - all with some protein and healthy fats like avocado Snacks, nuts, hummos, crudities, home made muffins - sweetened with banana/maple syrup Dinners, normal meals just no added sugars, no jars of sauces - unless it's a paste with no sugar. Remember these are ideas, we can share recipes on my FB page. We don't have to eat the same, but we all have to drop refined sugar. In terms of alcohol - no sweet drinks ie white wine, rose, mixers with tonic or lemonade - the occasional glass of red is fine. Soft drinks - definitely no fizzy drinks, squashes, juices etc - water is ideal, slice some lemon in it of you like. Any questions, please feel free to message me, remember anyone can join from anywhere this is not St Albans exclusive. 👍👍👍
