Whether you are commiserating or celebrating, or don't know or care what all the fuss has been about, we have the drinks range to help you do it! So turn the telly off and get yourselves out to town this weekend and support your local rock (and other) pubs, bars and venues. We're here for you whatever colour the government may be and whatever the weather is doing outside

Does everyone know what day it is tomorrow? Yes, that's right its Thursday! I'm sure there's something we're all supposed to be doing, but the media have been very lapse this year in reminding us!! Oh yes, that's it of course. Its time to put your mark in a box on a piece of paper, or if you really can't decide or think no-one is worthy of your vote - go anyway and spoil your ballot paper so at least your views are recorded. And when you've done that (or maybe you posted it off a few days ago anyway) come and tell us that you've done your civic duty (but NOT how you voted - we really don't want to know and the first rule is don't discuss politics, religion or football at the bar) and we'll give you 10% off your first drink. So see you tomorrow? I've always rewarded myself after casting my vote with a pint in the local, so that's not a bad tradition to follow, in whichever pub IS your local, even if you're not planning to come here...

With a bank holiday weekend looming, we are well aware that summer weather isn't expected just yet, but we've extended our range of ciders and also now sell ice cream / lollies, in preparation for when the sun does shine! Ciders now include the obligatory Strongbow as well as Westons Stowford Press, Old Rosie, Rosie's Pig, Perry and NEW Raspberry Twist, and also NEW Thatchers Cheddar Valley, as well as 10 bottled varieties and also the novely of a 3 litre Somerset Snuffler "Cider Hog" from Shepton Mallet, which you can enjoy at your table with friends. And we're starting off ourice cream range with "cheap and cheerful" Mr Swirly cones and Rocket Lollies for 70p, and choc ices for 50p, but depending on feedback and demand we might well extend this to inculde some more luxurious brands as well, so let us know what you think. We might have another attempt at Old Rosie ice lollies (but they'll be strictly for the adults only)...

Coming up this week, we have Nat's Open Mic / Jam Night tonight and on Friday it is Regulus, Church of Lies and The Verals as part of the Day of the Riffids warm up. On Saturday we have Doomsday Outlaw live on stage. And then next week we have St Georges Day to look forward to on Thursday 23rd, which we think should have as much support (if not more) than the over-hyped St Guinness Day, so put the date in your diary and book the Friday off work! We'll have 10% off all cask ales for the day and Dragon-fighting fancy dress will be strongly encouraged on the Thursday itself and also the following weekend...
