The Y: We’re for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility Downtown Y is an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility. Working side-by-side with our neighbors in Downtown Seattle, we strive to build a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in mind, body and spirit.
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We work side-by-side with our neighbors throughout King and south Snohomish counties to help kids and families thrive – and to apply their positive behaviors at home, school, the workplace and beyond.

This event will engage the audience in a conversation about the causes of youth homelessness, as well as potential solutions. The panel will consider questions like: Why are some groups disproportionately represented among insecurely housed young people? How are local agencies and organizations addressing youth homelessness? How can community members take action and advocate for young people experiencing homelessness? http://www.seattleymca.org/Locations/Metrocenter/Pages/SPLpanel.aspx
