Dr. Gilad Filmar is a board certified gynecologist with post residency fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (“Urogynecology”). He now practices urogynecology and general gynecology at Houston Metro Urology. Dr. Filmar graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2002. He then served as a doctor for 5 years in the Israeli Defense Force, concluding a distinguished tour of duty in 2007 with the rank of Captain. Along with his then pregnant wife and daughter, he moved to the United States after he was offered a position in the prestigious OB/GYN residency program at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City – a residency program recognized nationally for its emphasis on women’s health and Urogynecology.
