Private tuition in Chemistry and Biology from an A level examiner and moderator who knows the importance of understanding and good exam technique.
Chemistry and Biology are fascinating subjects of great importance in the modern world - and not just to get a place on a good university course. But making the transition from GCSE to A level is not easy and falling behind in the early weeks can have long term consequences. Also, many students struggle to communicate their knowledge in a way that earns them credit in exams - they need help with their exam technique. With a first degree in Biochemistry and a Doctorate in Peptide Chemistry followed by over 30 years working in the life science industry I can offer a wealth of experience that helps students with a real-life perspective of their subject. I was a Chief Examiner for several years, setting exam papers as well as marking them and supervising the marking of others. Now I am an examiner for theory papers and moderator (practical coursework) so I have an intimate knowledge of the exam system together with what is needed for success as well as the pitfalls that await the unwary.
