Description

Having bought a Kindle Fire some time ago, it was very difficult to sideload apps on to it. Most links on the web were either to shady sources or from the Android Market. I didn’t trust the apps downloaded from warez laden sites and you can’t download apps from the Market without rooting your Kindle Fire and going through the trouble of manually installing the Market app. Even then, the Market blocks many downloads as being “incompatible” with the Kindle Fire, even though they work just fine (like the great Dolphin HD browser). So, I’ve decided to download, test, host and provide a small review for a variety of free apps from the Android Market that work with the Kindle Fire. To combat leaching, downloading apps requires (free) registration to this site. So, if you’re willing to put up with some ads to pay for my hosting, please feel free to browse the selection at hand. Please use the “Report” link to notify me of inappropriate posts (copyrighted, restricted, etc.,) and to request a new version of an app if I haven’t update it yet. If there is an app you would like to see listed here, you can also shoot me an e-mail or PM with that request.
