Description

Durham County Recycles is part of Durham County's Department of General Services Solid Waste Division. We provide roadside recycling collection for unincorporated residents and operate four convenience sites for RESIDENTIAL waste disposal and recycling. We also enforce litter regulations and offer education and outreach assistance to schools, community groups, and other business that would like to set up a waste reduction program.

It's A Week! Residents North of the Eno should place their recyclable out by 7am this week!

New 2015-16 decals have been mailed to unincorporated residents with their property tax bill. This year's decal is purple. You must show the current decal in order to use our Convenience Sites. (Even if your taxes are in escrow, you still receive a copy of the bill and your decals are inside.) If you need a decal, you can contact the Durham County Tax office at 919-560-0300.

Our roadside recycling will be running as scheduled in Friday 7/3 and our Convenience Sites will be open as well. Our Sites will be closed on Saturday 7/4. City of Durham residents should check with the City for their recycling schedule.
