Bisher konnte man feststellen, dass Schüler, die mit den Büchern arbeiten, ihre Testergebnisse um bis zu 60% verbessern können. Es gibt fünf Bücher in drei Schuljahren, pro durchgearbeitetem Buch „verdienen“ sich die Kinder (zusätzlich zum Erlernten) 100 Rand (entspricht ca. 10€). Nach fünf Büchern haben sie genug Geld zusammen, um die Aufnahmegebühr für weiterführende Schulen, wie beispielsweise das College, zu bezahlen. Bildung ist der wichtigste Schlüssel zur Armutsbekämpfung. ******************* ENGLISH VERSION *************************** „Math -Yes we Can“, an educational program that is offered by „Eagles Of Tomorrow Africa“, wants to supply 21 South African schools with books, that the Canadian Dr. Rahael Jalan developed in 2009. As a matter of fact, students who worked with these books, were able to improve their grades by an average of 60%. The full program consists of five school books in three years. For each book that a child successfully finishes, it will be given an incentive of 100 Rand (equals less than 10 Euros). After having worked through five books, the student has not only improved their mathematical skills but also earned enough money to pay for the application fees for college. Education is the most important key to escape poverty.

Vimbai ist in Johnnesburg aufgewachsen und lebt seit ihrem Studium an der University of Cape Town in Kapstadt. 2011 übernahm sie als „Director of Education“ die Projektleitung bei der gemeinnützigen Organisation „Education without Borders“, die ihren Ursprung in Kanada hat. Vimbai ́s Stärken liegen in der Förderung, Beratung und Ausbildung von Einzelpersonen, Organisationen, Schulen und anderen sozialen Einrichtungen. Sie entwickelt nachhaltige Projekte und setzt sich für Mitwirkungsmöglichkeiten und Förderung der Führungsfähigkeit von unterprivilegierten Menschen ein. Ihr kurzfristiges Ziel ist es, 27 bestehende südafrikanische Schulen zu eigenständigen Vorbilds-Fakultäten aufzubauen. - Jessica Boehrs - arbeitet seit ihrem 14. Lebensjahr als Schauspielerin. Seit drei Jahren ist die Münchnerin als Hochzeitsplanerin in der ZDF-Spielfilmreihe „Kreuzfahrt ins Glück“ auf dem „Traumschiff“ MS Deutschland beschäftigt. Sie hat in der Vergangenheit in Formaten wie „Der Bulle von Tölz“, „SOKO 5113“, „Sturm der Liebe“ und „Rosamunde Pilcher“ mitgewirkt. Komödiantisches Talent bewies sie als Ensemble-Mitglied bei der „Marco Riema Show“ und „Zack!“ auf Sat1. Internationalen Erfolg konnte sie mit dem Dreamworks Kinofilm „Eurotrip“ feiern, in dem u.a. Matt Damon und Michelle Trachtenberg eine Rolle übernahmen. Vimbai ́s specialities lie in facilitation, coaching and training individuals, organizations, schools and institutions on development initiatives that harness empowerment, life skills and self leadership. She wants to foster educational opportunities and provide educational facilities in disadvantaged regions of Africa. Her dream is to run sustainable programs in 27 schools throughout the country. - Jessica Boehrs - has been working as an actress for over 20 years now.
