Kirsty Sutherland Infant Massage Instructor An experienced mother of two young boys with a background in Complementary Therapies – Reflexology (Napier University) and Social Care (Edinburgh City Council). I have been trained by The International Association of Infant Massage to teach parents and caregivers nurturing touch and communication through Infant Massage Classes. My first experience with Infant Massage was a few months after my eldest son was born in 2004. I had been diagnosed with Post Natal Depression and was lucky enough to have a lovely midwife that recommended Infant Massage Classes at a local church. As I had never really taken part in any antenatal or postnatal classes prior to this I was extremely nervous about what to expect and how much participation would be required. I was breast-feeding and still a little shy about feeding my baby in public. Once I arrived to the first class, my mind was put at ease as it seemed every other person there felt the same. We were new parents wanting what was best for our babies and to enjoy these important early days, weeks and months of our baby’s life. Our Instructor was kind supportive and informative and certainly made an impression on me as from day 1 I have wanted to share this same joy with other mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers and of course your babies in and around Edinburgh
