If you have been rejected by the City of Edmonton's Current Planning Department for your Development Permit, you can re-apply with a new revised proposal or you may wish to proceed with an Appeal. The City of Edmonton will charge you for an application fee for the Appeal.

To apply for Edmonton Development Permit, you will need to submit design drawings as a part of the require submission documents. Rather you are building a new building or just renovating your basement, design drawings are required. Design drawings should be completed in CAD format. Submitting hand sketches is not advised.

City of Edmonton's Development Permit is not the same as the Building Permit. You must apply for a Edmonton Development Permit first and be approved by the City prior to applying for the Edmonton Building Permit.
