Description

Statement of Faith The Scriptures Inspired and Fulfilled The Bible is the living Word of God. All scripture is truth, written and inspired by the Holy Spirit, Himself, through man. In the scriptures, one finds the answer to any and every question, and it contains the perfect way in which to live one’s life. We, as Christians, become His living epistles, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Corinthians 3:2-6). There is One True God While there are many proclaimed “lords” and “gods,” there is only one true Lord and God; the great “I AM.” In the old times He appeared unto the fathers by the prophets, but He has appeared to us now through His Son, Jesus Christ. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Hebrews 11:1; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; 1 John 5:7). Man’s Creation, Fall and Redemption Man was created in the image of God, created good and upright. By his own choice, man fell and separated himself from his original position with God. For all have sinned all fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. By the grace of God, man has the choice to be redeemed again through accepting God’s Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:17; Romans 3:23-24, 5:12-21). The Salvation of Man If anyone believes in his heart and confesses with his mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, he shall be saved. He that has the Son has life; and he that does not have the Son of God does not have life. If one confesses his sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Upon being saved, man is immediately joint-heirs with Christ, inheriting all that He has and all that He is; man becomes a perfect son of God, with power (not by man’s might, nor by his power, but by His Spirit, says the Lord). Upon receiving salvation, man is restored to his rightful position with God. For it is by grace is man saved, through faith, and this is not of himself; it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no man can boast (Romans 1:4; 1 John 5:12; 1 John 1:9; Romans 8:16-17, 10:9-10; 1 John 4:17; Zechariah 4:6; Ephesians 2:8-10). Now We Are the Sons (and Daughters) of God As Christians, now we are the sons (and daughters) of God. As Jesus is so are we in this world, therefore there is no condemnation for us who are in Christ. We are pure as He is pure. We cannot sin for we abide in Him, and His seed remains in us and we are born of Him. We are perfect as Jesus is perfect. Upon receiving Him into our hearts, we become a new creation – the old us is gone, and the new us is come in, which is Christ. We no longer live, but Christ lives in us. The life we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, faith which moves mountains. We call those things which be not as though they were. We preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils – everything that Jesus has done we do, and greater things shall we do in His name, because Jesus has gone to the Father and intercedes for us, forever, as the High Priest of the order of Melchizedek (1 John 3:2; 1 John 4:17; Romans 8:1; 1 John 3:3,6,9; Matthew 5:48; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20; Mark 11:23; Romans 4:17; Matthew 10:7-8; John 14:12; Hebrews 5:6). Baptism of Water and of Fire (The Spirit), and Rest The baptism of water represents a man or woman accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, leaving his or her old life behind and starting afresh with Jesus in control. There is yet another baptism for Christians as they come into revelations in Christ, a baptism of fire by the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost. Water baptism is performed by man while fire (Spiritual) baptism is performed by God Himself when He sees fit, once one is ready to receive. There also remains a state of rest for those who are in Christ (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4,11; Galatians 2:20; Acts 1:8,2:1-4; Hebrews 4:9-11). The Lord’s Supper (Communion) Consisting of the elements, bread and fruit of the vine, we partake in this activity (as often as one would like) in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ to His suffering and death (which is followed His resurrection three days later) a prophesy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers until He comes again (John 6:48,51,53-57; Luke 22:19,20; 2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:25). Evidences of Salvation One shall know if another is a Christian by their fruit. They are marked by those who: love one another as Christ loved us, esteem others better than themselves, take up their cross daily and follow Jesus, follow not after the flesh but after the Spirit; and those who do what they have both learned and received, heard and seen of and in Him. Those who perform miracles, signs and wonders in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit are of God (Matthew 7:16-20; John 13:34,35; Philippians 2:3; Luke 9:23; Romans 8:1; Philippians 4:9; John 14:12; Hebrews 2:4). Our Rights and Our Jobs as Christians We are God’s elect, sanctified by the Spirit, chosen for greatness in Him. Our job as Christians is to do everything that Jesus has done, and to do greater things in His name. We all possess all of the spiritual gifts, including the gifts of healing and speaking in tongues; we are to desire the greater gifts. And being given this power, we are to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils. We are to move on past the elementary teachings of these things and move on into the greater and deeper things of God; we are to have spiritual meat, and not mere milk. We are to be sanctified by His Spirit. We are to come to new revelations in Christ, not by man but by the Spirit Himself, from glory to glory, and it shall be done according to one’s faith, from faith to faith. God has a specific job for each Christian (for each son and daughter of God). We are not meant to be sluggards and simply waiting for Jesus to return, but to be doing His work and bringing lost souls into His Kingdom, destroying the works of the devil for we have power over him through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:7,31; Hebrews 6:1-5; 1 Corinthians 3:2; Matthew 10:7-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:23,24; 1 John 2:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 12:1; 1 John 2:27; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Matthew 9:29; Romans 1:17; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Proverbs 13:4, 20:4; Luke 19:12-27; 1 John 3:8,4:4). Our Benefits and Rewards in Him Upon becoming a Christian one’s soul is immediately saved, and in the end that individual will enter into the Kingdom of God. Also, while we are here on this earth, we have access into this grace wherein we stand. Whatever we bind or loose on earth will be bound or loosed in heaven (both spiritual and physical; both material and non-material). Already we are kings and queens, and already we are rich and wealthy. Whatsoever we ask in prayer we simply need to believe that we have already received it, and we shall have it. Our Father in heaven hears our prayers for they are the prayers of a righteous man; we are righteous as Jesus is righteous. Therefore, whatsoever we ask for we receive. In the end, every man will also receive according to the work he has done. God means for us to rule with Him in the next life. We run this race for a crown of life that lasts forever, and is incorruptible (1 John 2:25; Romans 10:9,5:2; Matthew 16:19,18:18; 1 Corinthians 4:8; Mark 11:24; James 5:16; 1 John 3:7; John 14:13,14; 1 John 3:21,22; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15; Revelation 3:12; 1 Corinthians 9:25). In the End We, as Christians, shall be taken up in the clouds with Jesus at His second coming (first those that are asleep in Christ, and then those who are on earth now). We are above the wrath of God. He will come like a thief in the night, and when we see and join Him in the air we will be like Him; our bodies will be transformed like unto His glorious body. We will return with Jesus for His millennial reign, and in the end He will swallow up death and cast the devil, as well as the devil’s followers, into the lake of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for eternity. We, however, will go on forever with God, becoming one with Him, living with Him (in the new heaven and earth) and ruling with Him in His glorious creation; the old is gone and the new is come (1 Thessalonians 4:17; Romans 8:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:2; 2 Peter 3:10; Philippians 3:21; Revelation 19:11-16; Romans 11:25; Revelations 20:1-10; Isaiah 25:8; 1 John 3:18; Matthew 13:42; Galatians 3:27-29; 1 Corinthians 3:23; Revelations 21:1,3:12). -Eli Arenas Ministries Empowered, Inspired and Led by the Holy Spirit…
