Description

Desmoid Tumors, also called Aggressive Fibromatoses, occur with an incidence of 2 to 4 new cases per million people per year. Despite the absence of a metastatic potential, DesmoidTumors cause significant morbidity and at times mortality due to its locally invasive behavior. The controversial labelling of Desmoid Tumors as benign and the consequences of such a designation have de-emphasized the seriousness of Desmoids. There is not a treatment modality for Desmoid Tumors, treatments are trial and error. Eliza and many us touched by the devastation of Desmoid Tumors hope daily for a cure.
