5.0 star rating (posted from Yelp!) 1/25/2013 I highly recommend Steve at Elliott Tire on QA. I called with a steering problem that came on suddenly late on Monday. He spent time with me on the phone, and suggested what it might be and offered to take a look for free. He let me know that he wasn't scheduled to work again until Wednesday, but would follow up with me then. On Wednesday, he sent a detailed email, explaining what the problem was (broken cords on front driver side tire) and what I needed to do. Turns out the bad tire was the wrong size, and was causing the steering issue and an alignment problem. (The bad tire was put on by Les Schwab in Ballard a few years ago when I needed a replacement tire, so I will be contacting them about this....). He had to order the tires since I have an old car (91 corolla), and the car was ready and in tip top shape on TH when I picked it up. I could notice a big difference in steering and just how the car sits on the road. Throughout the process Steve was courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. He was also respectful of the fact that I am on a tight budget. When I thought I might need to buy a more expensive tire he thought that for $10 or $20 more a tire I wouldn't be getting a much better tire. (A lot of salesman would have been quite happy to make more money off of me.) He also gave me the option of just replacing the two front tires (the other 3 tires were very old) now, and getting the other two replaced later. I opted for having all of them replaced. He gave me the coupon price for an alignment, since it needed that, too. I really appreciated how well he listened and how well he explained the problem and my options. He also encouraged me to call or email and let him know what I thought of the work. I can't even remember the last time I had such a positive customer service experience. I've never written a Yelp review before, but wanted to share this since I felt so well taken care of. Car issues can be so stressful, but I felt like I could trust him. -Erika D. Seattle, WA
Top Ten Steering problems. Steering concerns usually are repaired without too many complaints from even the most frugal of customers. Indeed, folks who claim to be selling their vehicles shortly seem to understand that not only do problems in steering systems affect vehicle safety, they also can make vehicles really difficult and tiring to drive, which affects any resale value. Why tire air pressure is important: •Underinflation increases treadwear on the outer edges, and generates excessive heat, which can age tires faster •Fuel economy is reduced as rolling resistance increases — soft tires make your vehicle work harder •Too much air pressure causes the center tread to carry most of the car's weight, leading to faster deterioration and uneven wear To find the proper air pressure for your tires, look in your vehicle's owner's manual, on the sticker on the driver's side doorjamb, or in the glove box.

Applies to: 2003 Accord V6 — All 2004 Accord V6 2-door — From VIN 1HGCM8... 4A000001 through 1HGCM8... 4A024092 2004 Accord V6 4-door — From VIN 1HGCM6... 4A000001 through 1HGCM6...4A1 00943 If a customer complains one of the above vehicle models is experiencing excessive cranking or hard starting, there are two possible causes: 1. Contamination in the fuel pressure regulator causes the regulator to stick or intermittently stick, causing a delay in fuel pressure at start-up. 2. Exhaust gas backflow into the intake manifold at engine shutdown may cause a poor mixture of intake air and fuel at the next engine start-up.
Reputation Impression 03-28-2013 I was treated very promptly and politely. Steve was very helpful, professional, and attentive to our needs. Was a pleasant visit. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Best rating: 5 star Cathy Christianson

A Google User reviewed a year ago Overall Excellent They were beyond helpful. I came in for an oil change and some weird noise. I just asked a few random questions and they took the time to check out what I was worried about AND were able to inform me of all of my options and explain what I could skimp on and what I shouldn't. I am not educated in car anything so the fact that they took the time to fully explain the in and out of my car issues was a life saver! They even got a new battery for my clicker! Bruce was the guy I worked with the most but others still walked in and just talked to me like one of the guys. I appreciated feeling comfortable in an area where I was overwhelmed by my lack of knowledge. Oh! And for the ladies, they even had a CLEAN restroom! Liked: Service, Value

In nearly every form of motorsports, the focus seems to be on speed and horsepower. True, the fastest cars are often the victors, but any driver will tell you that lap times are just as equally affected by the car's ability to brake as it is the car's ability to accelerate. Races can be won or lost in the turns and a car that can brake well may just beat the one with more ponies under the hood.
Tyler O. Seattle, WA 4.0 star rating (posted from Yelp!) 12/3/2012 I got my tires rotated and aligned on my 2007 Ford F-150 for ~$100. It took about 1.5 hours. Last week, the tires were replaced on the 2000 Mercedes-Benz E430. I was able to inspect any recommended upcoming needed work with a technician. The staff, especially Ben, are personable and great to work with. They've always treated my family well and we're happy with their services.
