The Emory Law community is saddened by news that Fulton County assistant district attorney and Emory Law grad April McConnell 11L is in critical condition after a double shooting today. Our thoughts and prayers are with her as well as her family and friends.
The Emory Law/Georgia Tech TI:GER program has two teams making their marks in competitions this spring. Fourteen teams of college entrepreneurs faced off in bracket-style competition for the 2014 Startup Madness competition at North Carolina State University. But only one team emerged victorious on March 19: CheckDroid from the Emory Law/Georgia Tech TI:GER program. Team members are Tyler Dutton 14L, Karan Jhurani 14L, David Mashburn 14L, Georgia Tech PhD candidate Shauvik Roy Choudhary, and GT MBA candidates Chad Lane and Jake Edens. TI:GER team LymphaTech was selected as a semifinalist in the 2014 New Venture Championship® and will participate in the elevator pitch competition in Portland, Ore., April 3-5.
