Our plan is to open a secondary school in the Portsmouth area. A government funded, free school. As a church, we exist to empower our community. We are focussed on the needs of our community and this would be at the heart of what we are seeking to achieve. The school will be a Christian school, with Christian morals and values. Our aim is to ensure all pupils achieve the required GCSEs and more. It will be integral to our school to value the individual - to grow good citizens with moral character. We will focus on the whole child and with Christian foundations encourage them to achieve and excel in all they do.
St Edmund’s Catholic School was established in April 1963. The aim of the school is to present a Christian philosophy and way of life. This is reflected in the school motto ”Caelum Dives Ingredi” (“To enter Heaven enriched”).
