Is your domestic water pump system keeping a constant pressure? If you still have pressure regulator valves they need to be maintained on an annual basis. If the water is really bad this may have to be done twice a year. This means the valves will have to be rebuilt and new repair kits installed in the pressure regulating valves and pilot valves. The check valves should be replaced. This service will keep your system running smoothly. When this is done we can check your pumps, motors and controls for proper operation. We need to look at the seal areas and check the motors. If there are pump problems we can repair the pumps and motors in our shop. We will check all fits and clearance. If we find discrepancies we will repair the equipment to restore all clearance. This includes wear rings, seal sleeve and bearing housings. Once the pump and motor are rebuilt, we will reinstall and test. The controls will be checked for proper operation. Pressure will be set for your building/housing requirements.

WHY OEM PARTS? There are a couple schools of thought in our industry regarding gray market versus OEM manufactured parts. We've taken a strong, clear position that we believe OEM parts best serve our customers' long-term interest. We take time to clean, tear down, diagnose, repair, rebuild and repaint your pumps and motors. We have also taken the time to align ourselves with some of the most reputable manufacturers in the business. Our goal is not to make that same repair or deal with a later repair caused by a part that was not precisely manufactured. We believe using Genuine OEM manufactured parts in our repairs undoubtedly ensures we deliver better, longer-lasting repairs. This is good practice for business (less downtime, less long-term expense), homeowners and good for the environment. When we deliver high quality, long-term repair to equipment that is otherwise structurally sound, we lessen the impact in landfills. We keep machines working that still have long life span capability. Our commitment to OEM manufactured parts is unwavering. We know the upside to our practice and our customers appreciate that a quality repair means fewer repairs over the life of their pumps and motors. It's the only way to truly remanufacture to 'like new' condition. If you have questions about the difference between gray market and Genuine OEM manufactured parts, please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss. We look forward to being of service to you.

What do all pumping systems have in common? They all require care and maintenance! Here are 10 ways to "murder" your pump: #10 Overwork it- Frequents starts and Ignoring allowable operating region. #9 Starve it- Most pumps need lubrication. This helps reduce friction and heat stress. Remember: Lubricant does NOT last forever. Also, keep good records. #8 Choke it- Net positive suction head. This means that the amount and PSI of water going into the pump should be the same going out. #7 Fry it- Operating at shutoff head. This is caused by not having enough fluid going through the pump. It can happen if the pump runs to long in low water. #6 Stab it- Unusual grit quantities or sizes. Grit can get between seals and cause failure. Have your pump pit cleaned if you notice dirt. #5 Stress it- Piping misalignment can cause undue stress on your pump. #4 Shake it to pieces- Vibration can be caused by machine imbalance or shaft misalignment. #3 Poison it- While not a typical problem, corrosive fluids are very harmful for pumps. #2 Drown it- Seal leakage management. Promptly replace failed mechanical seals. #1 Neglect it- Manufacturer recommended service. You should closely follow the preventive maintenance practices outlined in the pump O&M manual including operational "check-ups". Need help caring for your pump? At EMR, your pumps are our passion!
