ENCORE Youth Theatre is Winchester’s only youth theatre specialising in musical theatre. We offer young people from Hampshire experience in all aspects of theatre production following either a performance or production route.

Description

ENCORE Youth Theatre was formed by Ben Wright in 1981 for local young people who shared a love of theatre. There are approximately 35 - 40 members in the company at any one time. To join the company you must be in Year 7 by September when we start our rehearsals. We rehearse every Sunday, and some evenings, until February when we perform at the Theatre Royal Winchester. ENCORE is run by a board of directors and a production committee. The directors have responsibility for the company's administration, financial management, marketing and training, whilst the production committee looks after the show rehearsals and performances.
