It only took one song... Long before the name and business legalities, Entre Parentesis was a dream of business owner Karina Vargas. This dream was to intentionally carve out time out of busy work schedules and family appointments, house chores and errands to just JAM! "To be able to just sit on that piano bench or hug that guitar, " hoped Vargas, "that's all I ever wanted." And that she did. Together with her long time writing partner, sibling, and friend Jesse Valens, Vargas set out to solidify vaporous dream and give it it's official beginning on February 2013. Why the name Entre Parentesis? The phrase "entre parentesis" is Spanish for "within parentheses." It's a creative tool writers often use to encompass other side note details of their topic, as if saying more under one's breath. Vargas takes the tool a step further with the companies logo, placing the parentheses on opposite ends. "It's as if to say that all the details are so numerous that they've come full circle. I have so much to say," adds Vargas. The inspiration? A simple family trademark. "Our father's side of the family has a very present wrinkle right between the eyes, noticeable when we're in deep thought. It looks like two backwards parentheses," explains Vargas.
