Helping kids become school ready! Episcopal Children's Services provides a foundation for early learning for over 27,000 children in 14 counties in Florida At ECS, we proactively work with young children and their families to build a strong educational foundation. We want them to be prepared to succeed in school and in life. It’s a “whole” child approach – we help kids grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. Currently, we work with more than 27,000 children and families in fourteen counties in Northeast and Central Florida – Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Alachua, Marion, Lake, Citrus, Levy, Dixie, and Gilchrist.

ECS 2014/15 at a Glance: -Served 27,000 children & families in an 8-county area -Served 244 children age birth-3 through Early Head Start -Served 390 children age 3-5 through Head Start -Provided coaching to teachers in 59 private centers through CoachJax!, serving 3,609 children -Provided child care information & resources to 36,015 families -Provided VPK vouchers to 5,037 children in 6 counties -Provided child care vouchers to 3,849 children in 6 counties -Trained 2,972 teachers in 7 counties -Graduated 127 teachers with a Child Development Associate Credential -Served 283 children through ECS Early Learning Centers Creating opportunity for all our children to achieve their full potential. GRJ cultivates self-empowerment and positive identity development in girls and trans youth through music experimentation, DIY media and peer collaboration Girls Rock Camp Jacksonville fosters a solid foundation for young girls to grow confidently as individuals while developing rewarding musical skills. By participating in workshops and technical lessons, the girls become empowered by their newfound abilities, self-awareness, and sense of belonging. Led by positive female role models, the girls are exposed to the possibilities and benefits afforded to them through the enjoyment of music making and performing with their peers.
