Erica considers her work to be art. An art that she has been creating since 2006. She grew up in a salon and she could always be found next to her mother and her clients styling her own mannequin. She discovered very quickly that she wanted to do anything her mother would allow her to do in the salon. She found herself frequently being requested as the shampoo assistant, and she says she always got treated to great tips! After the typical childhood rebellion, she decided she was born to be a hairstylist. After working in the dental field and a variety of other corporate jobs, she concluded it wasn't for her. Next she moved to Basel, Switzerland where she had a chance to explore what she really wanted to do. Once leaving her life overseas and having numerous requests to come live and be a professional hairstylist she came back to Austin where she attended the Baldwin Beauty School. Once back in Central Texas, she found too many great opportunities and decided to stay in the States. Landing at her forever home, Urban Betty, she looks forward to an unleashing of hair art. She specializes in textured haircuts, multi- dimensional color, and classy alternative coloring. She thrives on doing the very best for each client. She loves to teach clients more about their hair.

Providing a quixotic salon experience, the ambiance pulls its essence from the likes of the comfortable, shabby-chic warmth of a country cottage and the haute allure of the pinups from the early Twentieth Century. The hairstylists at Urban Betty are a family of friendly faces and talent, and they assure that this salon has an artist for every spectrum of client, from rockabilly to soccer mom. Complimentary beverages including wine and beer are always offered after you walk through the door, along with a warm greeting and smile. In short, Urban Betty feels like home.
