Description
Eucharist Church is a community of Jesus followers in downtown Hamilton. We began gathering weekly in Fall 2010. We aspire to be a group of people committed to the sacrificial, counter-cultural, and revolutionary way of Jesus. We hope to reveal the love of God and his goodness to the city of Hamilton.

General Info
Hamilton is a diverse and complicated city: poverty and wealth, creativity and suffering, old and young and somewhere-in-between, neighbours from every background and tradition, people experiencing despair and joy and peace and fear and love and doubt – and Jesus invites all of us, no matter where we are, to a meal. That meal is the Eucharist. For thousands of years people have been gathering to share the Eucharist meal, and at the table they’ve found healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. What we need more than anything is a table big enough to seat the whole world. We want to be people who embrace this ancient tradition of the Eucharist, letting it remind us of Jesus’ sacrifice: bread and wine representing Jesus’ own body and blood; broken and poured out for the healing of the world. We want to find our place at this Eucharistic feast. Through it we are reminded that Jesus welcomes us to the table, regardless of who we are or where we’ve come from. And we learn to become more like Jesus; people who break open our own bodies and pour out our own blood in love and service to our city, and ultimately, to the world. There are many great churches in Hamilton, each expressing a different side of the Eucharist, but if our journey sounds like something you would be interested in, let us know. We’re new to this whole church planting thing, and aren’t quite sure where it will all end up, but we would be honoured to go there with you.
