Selling real ale from award winning local favourite Exe Valley Brewery, and traditional Devon Venton's cider, the Pop Up Pub is the ultimate enhancement to your shopping experience. Bored with shopping? Need to rest your feet? Feel like you're just that little bit too sober? We can help with that, 'cos we sell BEER! (Also cider). You may drink it sitting down, or standing up, however you please. We shall not judge you upon your positional preferences. Fancy a quick bite to eat with your beer (or cider)? We are surrounded by convivial street food traders who will be more than happy to oblige! Want to discuss beer with people who know about beer? We know about beer! We love discussing beer! (Only don't ask us about cider). Want a beer (or cider), but can't drink it now because you're driving and/or working? We can do you a takeaway beer (or cider)! See, we've thought of everything. We even have a sofa! A SOFA! Which you can SIT ON (if you can prise the staff off it)! Our friendly crew consist of: Guy Sheppard - Beer Wizard and proprietor of Exe Valley Brewery. He knows lots about beer. In fact, he is something of a beer guru. Bring your beer-related queries to this Oracle, and he shall provide the answers (along with beer). James Fryer - Alcohol Alchemist. Brewer at Exe Valley Brewery. James knows lots about beer. He also knows lots about surfing. He is recognisable by his bobble hat and his inclination to wear shorts in the icy depths of winter. Heather Sheppard - Market Researcher and (after considerable research into the real ale market) Dragon Wrangler. Heather knows a lot about how beer is drunk, but she doesn't know as much as the other two about how it is made. You're better off asking her something about vikings or dragons. She likes vikings and dragons (and beer). All of the above would be delighted to let you sample the produce, and sell you pints (or halves, if you're so inclined). Take any bus going to Exeter City Centre, and make your way to the Guildhall Shopping Centre. Our Pop Up Pub is located just outside, in the street food market, next to the small, mediaeval church of St Pancras.
