Conveniently located at Oakville Place Shopping Mall next to LensCrafters. We are now open for every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Come visit us as we are welcoming new patients and walk-in appointments. It's now Summer and as the UV index is soaring, remember to seek protection. As it is important to use sun block lotion for your skin, it is also very important to wear sunglasses. Did you know that 80 % of your life time UV exposure accumulates at youth under the ages of 19? Ultra Violet damage in the eye can cause melanoma, cataract formation and progression of macular degeneration. Melanoma is a serious life threatening disease that can be lurking inside of the eye aswell as visibly on the skin. It can occur at any age and can be easily screened during a routine eye test. Remember that children eye exams are FREE 19 years of age and younger, and so are seniors of 65 years of age and older once a year through OHIP. Please don't hesitate to get your eyes checked!
