Our Specification Main Building All our buildings are constructed using 3"x2" framing - at 500mm centres. Our shiplap timber is 5th grade redwood timber. The shiplap cladding is ex 16mm x 125mm and is fixed with galvanized nails. The weatherboard cladding 15mm and is a slightly cheaper alternative to shiplap, the main difference being it overlaps rather than butting together like the shiplap it also has a rougher appearance structurally there is no difference. All our timbers are tanalised/pressure treated to protect against rot and fungal decay, from FSC regulated forests. Roof Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 500mm centres, , covered with black onduline roof sheeting. Onduline is an extremely tough, lightweight, corrugated roofing material manufactured utilising a base board produced from recycled cellulose fibres which is saturated with bitumen under intense pressure and heat and also carries a ISO 14001: 2004 environmental management standard certificate. We use onduline because it can withstand winds up to 125mph, it does not rust rot or become brittle and has excellent high insulation and sound absorbency performance. With the added benefit of how close we space our purlins (500mm) for maximum roof support onduline will outlive the majority of other roofing options. Doors To keep your costs to a minimum we do not supply top doors and windows as standard these are optional extras. Bottom doors are of course supplied as standard on all stables they constructed from 125mm x 16mm tongue and groove with a 3x2 framing and are also lined on the back to add to the durability they come complete with heavy duty galvanized hinges, top bolt and a kick bolt, we also supply a cabin hook to pin your door back when not in use. All our door frames and doors are also tanalised/pressure treated to protect against rot and fungal decay, from FSC regulated forests.
