Jeremy has just told us that by the 20th April a brand new toilet and shower block will be available 24/7 for the anglers at the amazing Iktus complex. The block will consist of 2 toilets, 4 showers and 2 wash rooms. I will post photos when I receive them.
Jeremy has Just sent me the Catch report for the Iktus Carp and Iktus Sturgeon Lakes for 2014. Most of the lake records have been improved last year. The common carp record moved from 23kg to 23,6kg (VIP swim). We'd like to remind that another 23kg common came out in Iktus Sturgeon in 2014. The russian sturgeon grow at a tremendous pace: 29,5kg in 2013, 40kg in 2014! The same thing happened to the Transmontanus sturgeon: 57,5kg to 65kg. We also had a 57kg sturgeon in Iktus Sturgeon caught by spanish anglers at the end of the season. The records for Baeri sturgeon and mirror carp (max. 33kg) have not been beating last season. The anglers had a great 26,5kg mirror in Iktus Sturgeon and some other 25kg+ carp. In Iktus Carp we had at least 5 mirrors of 28kg in the second half of the season. The cat fish also gained quite some weight: the biggest catfish grew from 2,34m and 90kg to 2,53m weighing over 110kg! (swim 1). The biggest koi carp reached the mark of 14,5kg (it was 13kg). The Spathula of 25kg and the giant transmontanus haven't been landed last year. Apart from the numerous records, the 2014 season was above all a year with enormous quantities of fish. Thanks to the restocking from 2013 the fishing was much easier. Sessions of 40 and even 60 carp per week per angler weren't rare on Iktus Sturgeon and Iktus Carp. In total, last season 114 tons of fish had been banked, that's double of the previous year. Next week, from February 2nd, we'll improve the swims on the large lake, refit the facilities, restocking, we'll install block huts in some swims (starting with swim 17 and 23 on Iktus Sturgeon.
