Description

Hello, I am Iain Fraser a licenced instructor for Game Fishing and have been a fly angler for over 48 years on both Rivers and Stillwater’s. I hold a L2 CCA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Game Angling, Licenced by the Angling Trust/ Sport UK to coach all age groups. Licence No. 1274 and Angling Trust Member No 73133. I am DBS (formally CRB) higher checked with regard to children and vulnerable adults have completed a recent Child Protection Course and am a First Aid at Work and FPOS Trainer and Assessor. I also hold a D32/D33 certificate under Edexcel I was a Police Officer for 38 years, and currently run my force fly fishing section. I won the Police National Rivers Championships in 2013, captained our team at the Home Internationals in Scotland in 2014 and have regularly represented England Police at European, International and National level competitions. During my working life I have been an instructor in law, firearms, First Aid and Child Protection which after retiring I thought why not use the skills learned at work and my passionate hobby to become qualified to instruct professionally, attended a course run by the Angling Trust under Sport UK and the Angling Development Board at Moulton Agricultural College in Northampton and qualified as a Game Angling Instructor in November 2014. Over the years I have taught a number of people the art of fly fishing and during the spring, summer and autumn months regularly assist with Beginners Days at a local large reservoir voluntarily.
