For the Love of Strays is a “rescue family”, stepping in and caring for our rescues as if they were our very own beloved pets. We are a no-kill organization, regardless what condition our rescued animals are in when coming into our care, they are given the chance of life. FTLOS does not operate out of a shelter, most of our rescues are placed in loving foster home care. At this time, we have 25 foster home families. We also have a few local boarding facilites that offer shelter until a foster home is available. All The boarding facilities’ management and staff share the same love and desire that we have for saving homeless animals. We are very grateful for their assistance. I think that you would all agree, that with today’s economy, that the number of abandandoned and neglected animals are at an all-time high! FTLOS is working very hard to assist as many of the dogs and puppies, affected by these hard times, as our resources can possibly allow. Opening hearts and homes to stray animals. Mission Statement For the Love of Strays is a foster-based organization whose sole purpose is to help rescue stray and abandoned dogs and cats. These animals are placed in a safe and loving foster home while FTLOS provides all veterinarian care necessary to restore them to health. Behavioral issues are addressed prior to adoption with free follow-up training and advice available. Our goal is to place these animals in a safe and loving home. All animals adopted from our organization are required to be surrendered back into our care in the event that the adoption does not work out. In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted puppies, we spay and neuter all animals prior to adoption. For the Love of Strays is a 501 (c) (3) charity organization and is in compliance with the IRS. Our federal tax documents are available for public inspection upon request.
