Description
We offer hands-on practical support to family members and to our knowledge we are the only Charity offering this very much needed service in the UK. We use our Staff and volunteers to carry out tasks and help on our “Support Projects”. The work we carry out is general maintenance of the home, garden or the things the lost family member would have done for his or her family. These sometimes small jobs can amplify the grief of a loved one passing.

Mrs Murray's was founded back in 1889 to serve as a place of refuge for stray dogs and cats in the City and Shire of Aberdeen. The Home has since expanded to take in animals from their owners who, for a variety of reasons can no longer keep them and find new homes for them. We also have from time to time a variety of small animals who have been abandoned and need to be placed in new homes. Each year around 1000 animals pass through our doors - Most abandoned and unwanted. The Home serves the North East of Scotland and is a registered charity and is largely dependent on legacies, donations and the support of the public to help fund the cost of looking after the animalls and securing their future.
