Description

At five years old Dr. Spencer Hoyt and his family moved from Manila Philippines to a small town in Northern California called Stockton. Growing up he became involved in the family pastimes of Tae Kwon Do and boxing. He went to win numerous Tae Kwon Do competitions including three state championships and sliver at the United States Nationals. Spencer did his undergraduate training at University of the Pacific and obtained a dual degree in Chemistry-Biology. Where in his free time he taught Organic Chemistry and led study sessions in various topics. In search for a new passion; volunteering at the free clinic in Stockton, Ca sparked his desire to help people through Dentistry. Spencer continued his education at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry to obtain a DDS degree. In school Spencer became active in community outreach to promote dental health through wellness fairs. Also continuing his passion for helping those in need both locally through free clinics for undeserved and abroad through dental mission in South America. After dental school Spencer continued for one additional year of training, attending Advanced Education in Dentistry residency, where he focused on Dental Implants, cosmetics and surgery. Spencer is a member of the American Dental Association and Fort Worth Dental Society. Spencer is Invisalign certified and stays at the cutting edge of new technology for Invisalign and Dental Implants. “I believe it is a disservice to my patients if I am not actively engaged in learning and improving on a daily basis. To not be at the forefront of advancements in dental technology is to far behind.” When not in the office he has study groups where he mentors Dentists in Dental Implants and surgery. “My favorite part of my profession, is the relationships I build with my patients. It brings me great joy to give people an experience that will change their perception of the dentist for the rest of their life.” When not working, Spencer can be found at Trinity park riding bikes with his eleven year old daughter Chloe, or attending one of her school or athletic functions. “My daughter is my greatest accomplishment, the only way I can live up to this is be highly motivating and involved in every part of her life.”
