Description
Fur Rondy is the nation's premiere winter festival. Since 1935, Rondy has proudly represented the pioneering spirit of Alaskans. Rondy has something for kids of all ages. We welcome visitors and invite everyone to visit our newly remodeled Fur Rondy Shop, open year-round. Pick up your collector pins and Rondy apparel. Bring your friends and family in to browse our Dog Mushing Hall of Fame and other historical exhibits. We love chatting with visitors and making new friends! The mission of Greater Anchorage, Inc. is to provide entertainment, education and cultural growth primarily through the production of Fur Rendezvous. The Rendezvous festival is designed to provide enjoyment for the community that attracts state, national, and international tourism, thereby creating a positive economic impact on the community. Additionally, as found appropriate, GAI may take on other activities that are in harmony with the primary mission of the organization.
