CLASS of '87... 2013 Carver High Picnic Info Morning all. It's that time again for the 2013 CHS Alumni Picnic. The picnic will be and always have been the 1st Saturday in October. 10AM-7PM. We are joining the 88 and 89 classes again. Each year these classes have worked well together to make things enjoyable for those in attendance. We will meet this Saturday, July 20th @ 3PM, McDonalds Roebuck Parkway to collect fees. Below is a lay out of the game plan this year. Family (4) Fee: $40.00 ( $10 for each additional family member over 12 yrs old) Single Fee: $25.00 T shirts: $15.00 (White, trim in red or blue) $10 of each fee paid (family or Single fee) will go towards the new fryers that cost $299.00. Each class will purchase a fryer that will be used ONLY during class events. The past couple of years we have had to borrow fryers, grills, propane tanks, etc. $5 of each fee paid (family or Single fee) will go towards the cooks that are hired. Each year we have solicited volunteer cooks with very little result. The same people are always stuck at the grills and fryers with little to no breaks. We want everybody to enjoy the festivities and it's not fair to be stuck cooking all day. 1987 Class fee to be paid to Park Board $75.00 Menu Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chicken, Fish, Bake Beans, Cole slaw, Potato Salad, Cakes, Cookies, Buns, Condiments, Onions, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Cheese, Water, Soda, Peanut oil, Ice, Paper Products, Sterno's, Foil, Peanut Oil, Aluminum Pans, maybe French Fries. Other Items Fill propane Tanks (7 @ 21.00 to fill) Peanut Oil (5 gal 55.00 each, 5-6 Needed) Charcoal Seasonings Flour Misc Items For those who have participated in past years know that those who volunteered have ALWAYS made it happen. More than enough food & drinks to go around. Tracy Nichols Jackson always volunteer her DJ services to us. WE JUST NEED MORE PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER TO SERVE. All we need is 1 hour of your day. Quin
